My Expertise
I have been in private practice since 2005. Prior to and during my private practice, I had the amazing opportunity to work at one of the leading eating disorder centers in the U.S. At the inpatient facility, I developed a passion for counseling patients to eat balance and feel comfortable with food and their bodies. Over those years, I designed and led numerous groups, including those focused on emotional eating, mindful eating, nutrition education, grocery tours, and eating out.
I hold a Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition from New York University and received my bachelor's degree in Nutrition from the Universidad Central de Venezuela. I am a Certified Eating Disorders Registered Dietitian through the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals (IAEDP) and certified in Adult Weight Management by the American Dietetic Association.
I also worked at St. Vincent's Hospital in Manhattan, providing clinical nutrition care to countless patients in need. While working in Venezuela at a state-run hospital, I helped children from low-income families achieve adequate and well-balanced meals. I frequently provided nutrition lectures to pregnant and breastfeeding women and offered nutrition education to diabetic and cardiovascular disease patients.
I have appeared on “Despierta America,” a morning show on Univision, to educate the public about eating disorders. During each appearance, I was able to raise public awareness about when to seek support, how to provide support, the struggles and signs of an eating disorder, and the importance of seeking help promptly.
